EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stage
The EYFS curriculum is developed around a number of key documents and guidance.
The EYFS framework:
- sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well
- ensures children are kept healthy and safe
- ensures that children have the knowledge and skills they need to start school
The Development Matters guidance is for all early years practitioners. It offers a top-level view of how children develop and learn. It can help school to design an effective early years curriculum, building on the strengths and meeting the needs of the children we work with.
The EYFS policy (coming soon), provides guidance and detail on how we work at Stubbins Primary school in reception class.
