Core Value Challenges
Our Values
Our Core Values sum up what our school is all about! We have carefully chosen our core values to demonstrate what our school community promotes and how we engage with other people.
Our values communicate our shared mission and desired outcomes. As a school community, we have established these values to help us create a nurturing culture.
We work together to promote our core values and they underpin everything we do as a school and form the basis of our behaviour and curriculum.

Home Learning Challenges
Every half-term, we focus on two of our core values. Assemblies are themed around these core values and discussions in class take place promoting these core values and modelling how the children can apply these values to every day life.
We have also created our Core Value Challenges.
These are optional home learning activities designed to promote conversations and practical activities which can be completed together as a family.
Parents and carers are encouraged to share photographs on Class Dojo and each half-term, every class will celebrate all the wonderful work from home!
Autumn 1
This half-term, we are focusing on these two core values:
Creativity
Independence
These values have been chosen as we recognise that whilst academic learning is essential, developing creativity in young children is just as important. We have also chosen independence for Autumn 1 as we are encouraging independent learning within our classrooms at the start of the new school year.

Autumn 2
This half-term, we are focusing on these two core values:
Respect
Empathy
These values have been chosen as Remembrance Day falls during this half-term. We will be paying our respects to all the serving and fallen soldiers who have, or continue to, protect our country on a daily basis. We will also acknowledge the importance of Anti-Bullying Week where we will develop the core value of empathy.

Spring 1
This half-term, we are focusing on these two core values:
Integrity
Determination
These values have been chosen as we recognise that integrity and determination are life skills which can be hard for children to understand. Teaching children about integrity and determination helps them develop a solid ethical foundation to guide their actions and decisions.

Spring 2
This half-term, we are focusing on these two core values:
Curiosity
Cooperation
These values have been chosen as we teach curiosity and cooperation in school to encourage a love of learning and the ability to work effectively with others. These skills help children explore new ideas with enthusiasm and build positive relationships through teamwork and shared problem-solving.

These values have been chosen as we teach self-belief and resilience in school to help children develop the confidence to face challenges and believe in their ability to succeed.
