About Our Class

Welcome to Year 3!

Year 3 marks the start of an exciting new chapter in Key Stage 2. With Mr Robinson and Mrs Stafford, our classroom is a warm and welcoming place where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to shine.

We nurture kindness, curiosity and a love of learning. Children are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and have a go—even when something feels challenging! Together, we build independence and resilience, recognising that making mistakes and trying again are important parts of learning.

We celebrate achievements big and small, look out for one another and take pride in being part of our class. Above all, we want every child to feel happy, safe and confident as they grow and learn.

What We Will Be Learning

Throughout the year, we will explore exciting books and topics, develop our reading, writing and maths skills, and discover more about the world around us. There will be plenty of opportunities to investigate, create, get active and work together across the curriculum.

Important Information

• PE: Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
• Reading: Please read regularly with your child at home and record this in their reading log. Talking about the book together is just as valuable as reading the words!
• Homework: Sent home on Fridays and due the following Thursday.
• Spellings: Sent home on Fridays, with a spelling test the following Friday.
