Enrichment Curriculum Offer
At Stubbins Primary School, we believe that a rich and varied curriculum, complemented by a range of extracurricular activities, is crucial for the personal, social, and academic growth of our pupils. Curriculum enrichment enables us to:
- Broaden pupils' horizons and expose them to diverse experiences
- Develop pupils' skills, interests, and talents beyond the core curriculum
- Foster a love of learning and a sense of curiosity in our pupils
- Promote the well-being and mental health of our pupils
- Prepare our pupils for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century
Our vision of nurture-grow-flourish underpins our curriculum enrichment programme. The programme allows children to apply the school’s core values in a practical sense and form an integral part of the school’s personal development programme.
Our enrichment opportunities take a number of forms. We run an “Enrichment” programme each week for all pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. This is run during the school day and each child will receive an afternoon of activities as part of our Curriculum enrichment offer. This programme is carefully planned to provide pupils with a range of experiences designed to develop the school’s core values and further extend areas of the curriculum which we have determined to be a priority.
This programme is in addition to the school’s club and competition offer.
