Dinners and Snacks
Click here to view current the Lancashire County Council School Lunch Menus.
At lunch time children may have a school lunch, bring their own packed lunch, or go home for lunch. Children who stay for a school lunch should bring dinner money (currently £11.50 per week, £2.30 per day) on MONDAY mornings in a sealed, clearly labelled envelope. The school requires 2 weeks notice if your child wishes to change from sandwiches to dinners or vice versa. For information on the menu available, please click here.
Children bringing a packed lunch should have a suitable lunch box in which to bring the lunch and keep it fresh through the morning. Children having packed lunches are entitled to bring a drink, but no glass bottles please. Children should bring their own spoons for use with yoghurts etc.
Children who go home for lunch must be met by a responsible adult at 12:00 noon and returned to school at 12:55 pm. There are no school crossing patrols on duty at lunch times and therefore it is the responsibility of parents to ensure that children are seen safely across the road.
Toast and fruit are available from the 'tuck shop' along with a cold drink, prices start from 20p. Alternatively, children may bring a healthy snack item each day from home to eat at the mid morning break.
NATIONAL SCHOOL FRUIT SCHEME
The children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have the opportunity to participate in the National School Fruit Scheme whereby they are offered a free piece of fruit each day.
